Olivia’s Story
Learn how EleCare helped support Olivia's nutrition during a potentially dangerous intestinal disorder.
When we first learned we were having a girl, we’d decided on the name Daisy. It had seemed perfect—daisies were significant to us in many ways. But when I first saw our daughter, I knew her name would be Evie instead, and she would symbolize living fearlessly. Yet, the first 7 months of Evie's life were riddled with worry for us. After her initial pediatrician visit, Evie began to fuss uncontrollably. She had a severe, head-to-toe rash that persisted despite our efforts to treat it.
One day, after she had her bottle she began throwing up. I rushed her to the emergency pediatrician. To better understand Evie's condition, he asked detailed questions about the rash and listened carefully. Recognizing my concerns, he drew a diagram to explain that Evie’s body was reacting against the proteins in her formula. He then suggested a special formula with amino acid-based protein. That day, Evie started on EleCare® infant formula, which helped her symptoms quickly improve.
After starting EleCare, her rash cleared up and she thrived. Occasionally, she still gets what we call "cheetah spots" from new foods, but she’s no longer in constant discomfort. Now, she happily talks about dinosaurs and requests Brussels sprouts for dinner each week!

After two exhausting years filled with dozens of specialists and tests, our son was diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) at age 2½.
At 3 days old, Stanton stopped eating, would not breastfeed, and began vomiting. After trying 17 different formulas, Stanton’s parents, with the help of their doctors, found EleCare.
